Smart locks, smart meters, and smart city infrastructure require reliable, low-power wide-area connectivity with deep indoor penetration. This project required an NB-IoT control module that could provide long battery life, easy cloud integration, and industrial-grade reliability.
Key Hardware Requirements:
Ultra-Low Standby Current: 7µA for extended battery life
Wide Operating Temperature: -40°C to 85°C for outdoor and industrial applications
Wide Voltage Input: 4-8V for flexible power source compatibility
Integrated Solution: NB-IoT modem + MCU + power management on a single board
Compact Size: Small form factor for integration into space-constrained devices (63 × 37mm)
We designed a compact NB-IoT smart control module PCBA integrating an NB-IoT modem, ARM-based MCU, and power management circuitry on a single board. The module provides developers with a complete, ready-to-use hardware platform for low-power, wide-area IoT applications.
